Synopsys, a world leader in the Semiconductor IP industry, is seeking an Analog Design Engr. Staff with the following mission:
Take technology development leadership in Analog/Mixed-Signal subsystems to be deployed as Semiconductor IP Products for use in complex System-On-Chips
Develop sharp understanding of customer requirements, market trends and Company objectives to drive programs and business initiatives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways
Develop crisp understanding of impact of own and otherâ€™s technical decisions on business results
Exercise high level independent judgment and interpretation in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria to obtain results
Lead technical cooperative efforts among members of a task-force or project team, typically disperse in multiple geographic regions
Encourage and motivate others to support new solutions or directions
Prepare and present reports outlining the outcome of lead initiatives and make recommendations for additional actions necessary for future directions
May advise senior management on specialized technical or business issues
Represent the organization as the principal contact on business unit and/or company-wide projects
Interact with management and senior internal personnel, functional peer group managers, and external customers, on matters between functional areas, other business units, or customers and the Company.
Network with key internal/external contacts inside/outside own area of expertise
University degree in Electronics Engineering with 8+ years of related analog IC design experience.
At this level, post-graduate coursework or knowledge base equivalent may be desirable
Solid understanding and experience in sub-micron CMOS technologies. Preference for a rich background in Data Conversion, Power-Management (and optionally RF) product development
Past experience working through the entire analog & mixed-signal IC design flow, namely, schematic entry, electrical simulation, RTL design/verification, layout, layout verification and validation
Excellent verbal/written communication skills in English, to work in an international environment
Experience in UNIX operating systems
Organizational and interpersonal skills are essential
