Responsible for all Facilities Management [FM], Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), Security Crisis Management (SCM) Procurement & Project Management [PM] operations at key Regional HQ offices in UAE, Oman & Yemen • Principal lead for GE’s Global Operations across UAE, Oman & Yemen– accountable to drive the full spectrum of corporate Facilities, Construction, Security & EHS management. • Implementation of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) and security crisis management (SCM) programs for the South – ME facility to ensure full compliance with corporate standards and regulatory requirements • Partner with business leaders to develop property strategy roadmap within the region • Worked with the business operational managers (during the pre-occupancy stage) to ensure that all operational activities are clearly identified and risk assessed to ensure safe working procedures are developed and any safety hazards are appropriately controlled. • Supported the facilities team to identify safety & security critical equipment and develop preventative maintenance plans to manage these effectively and compliantly. • Work with the project team to review EHS/Security status of project to ensure a compliant, safe and secure facility is handed-over to operations fully commissioned and tested prior to occupancy. • Development of a site emergency response plan and incident management team to be operational prior to occupancy. • Develop a training plan to cover both site induction orientations and task specific safety training. • Induct and train local employees and contractors/service companies in basic EHS and SCM awareness and GE/local rules, and also on job-specific risks in the laboratories and jet engine training facilities. • Implementation of GE’s H&S and Environmental frameworks (management system) and the tracking of EHS and SCM performance metrics to meet GE’s objectives. • Conduct compliance and framework audits and reviews necessary to meet company and local compliance requirements to reduce risk liability. • Promote/implement alternate workplace strategies to support maximum business effectiveness and cost efficiency. • Ensure seamless delivery of all real estate and facilities related project management services delivering complex & high-impact projects through a network of trusted partners and vendors who provide strategic development, design, construction, risk management and capital works projects that include new buildings and/or facilities, interior fit outs and refurbishments. • Accountable to drive efficiency, simplification, cost reduction/avoidance & standardization of business processes and reporting in each of these areas. • Drive and be accountable for measurable targets in client satisfaction, service quality, and contractor/ vendor performance for the assets within the geographic area. • Annual Opex budget preparation and control of $15M.
