Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Handling a variety of legal related matters such as corporate, commercial and regulatory topics as well as managing litigations (including matters with external counsel).
  • Mitigate legal risks and help business in the mitigation of commercial risks.
  • Conduct research on various legal matters. Be up-to-date with any changes in laws and regulations affecting the company to ensure continuous compliance with the local laws and regulations.
  • Provide legal advice/corporate secretarial work, including corporate documentations, board resolutions, appointment and dismissal of board members in close cooperation with shareholder controlling functions, alignment with local shareholder representatives, amendment and renewal of corporate licenses.
  • Provides training and education to the business on relevant laws and business legal issues including Compliance relevant topics.
  • Ensure timely reporting, to the relevant stakeholders, in alignment with the Head of Legal and Compliance Egypt.
  • Works collaboratively with Siemens Healthineers legal specialists in headquarters (including Zone) and the Siemens Healthineers global legal network.
  • Proactively creating awareness for, anticipating and mitigating Compliance risks in Egypt and other countries.
  • Ensuring implementation of guidelines and regulations and execution of the operational Compliance Processes as well as Compliance controls.
  • Contributing to the set-up and continuous improvement of the Compliance System.
  • Ensuring continuous knowledge exchange with Compliance colleagues in the MESA zone and the headquarter.
  • Assist in Conducting Compliance Trainings.
  • Supporting Compliance investigations and audits.
    Your qualifications and experience
  • Bachelor degree in Law. Admitted to the Egyptian Bar Association. LLM or Master’s Degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience within an International or Multi-national Company or Law firm.
  • Relevant work experience collected in the Healthcare
  • and/or Life science Sector with strong focus on contract law for supply and service transactions, distributorship agreements, complex project business as well as collaboration and research agreements is highly appreciated.
  • Ideally having knowledge of data privacy laws.
