Looking for Senior Videographer-Editor:
Requirements:

  • Must speak fluent Arabic and English
  • Must be available in Qatar
  • Must have valid QID
  • Must be available to join immediately-- Must have at least one year of responsible experience in the production field is required
  • Experience must include knowledge of the principles, techniques, and equipment involved in media productions
  • Familiarity with videotaping styles, formats, and editing techniques.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of editing systems is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. This position involves regularly transporting heavy and bulky audio and visual equipment without assistance.

  1. The scope of job frequently requires attendance of evening and/or weekend activities.

  2. Execute production projects within the allocated time, material, artistic directions, styles, and budgeting requirements.

  3. Plan and schedule shootings, and determining equipment, crew and location needs.

  4. Assist in the production of single and multi-camera presentations by exercising creative and technical control of video/audio recording which may require functioning independently as videographer, the producer, and/or director for the production

  5. Supervise the production crew, directing talent for voice, physical presence and actions, and editing the final tape.

  6. Assemble single and multi-camera footage of recorded video and audio segments into a completed technically and artistically effective presentation.

  7. Facilitate the production of films by participating in the construction or modification of sets for studio productions, selecting and lighting suitable settings for location productions, setting up, troubleshooting, and operating video equipment or assisting with the staging and presentation of productions on and off campus.

  8. Facilitate an efficient office operation by maintaining and archiving files of tapes, graphics, and special effects, keeping records of expenses, supplies, and other associated costs and providing required reports of production costs and inventories as directed.

  9. Ensure the operational condition of equipment by performing repairs, set-ups and preventive maintenance as appropriate.

  10. Ensure that production equipment is technologically up-to-date and meets the needs of the department by researching, evaluating, and recommending equipment purchases.
