This Task Force Team is the 1st level of analysis that will work for various BNP Service Partners, to manage the spike of SUN alerts. A SUN alert is trigger when a sanction person/entity name matches a BNP client, should be quickly analysed if they might be the same person/entity.
Given the volatility of the work volume, the main priority of the team is to assist Level 1 teams to reduce backlogs as swiftly as possible, but other tasks within OPTI (Portugal Compliance Hub) might be required, like performing Sanctions & Embargoes analysis (either Level A or B2), AML L2 or Market Abuse investigations.
Your Main Activities Are
- Perform analysis on Sanctions and PEPs Level 1 hits through the bank’s screening tool, according to procedures in place, assuring a good quality of investigation, within the defined timeline and minimizing backlog risk
- Check accuracy of documentation uploaded in the data systems and analyze hits related to Sanctions and PEPs
- Close non suspicious hits or escalate suspicious alerts to Level 2 (Compliance)
- When applicable, report to the Team Leader relevant hits
- When applicable, perform Daily / Weekly / Monthly Activity Reports
- When applicable, provide training to newcomers or to specific target people
- When applicable (and with the proper training), assist teams within the Portugal Compliance Hub on handling alerts (or at least part of a process) that could be related to Sanctions and Embargoes (Level A or B2), AML L2 or Market Abuse
- When applicable, assist on side tasks requested by the Team Leader
