Description
Key Result Areas:
- Supervise and lead all maintenance processes and operations.
- Track expenses and oversee the budget for maintenance.
- Ensure that all machinery is maintained as per industry best practices for optimal uptime.
- Create and implement maintenance procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems.
- Plan and manage maintenance stops and annual shutdowns.
- Ensure all department workers adhere to the safety policies and procedures.
- Assign repair schedules and evaluate repair cost estimates.
- Document and prepare daily progress reports and maintenance logs.
- Ensure plant spares availability, identify and implement critical spares where necessary.
- Manage departmental foreman ensuring all administrative tasks are completed according to company standards.
- Performance management of departmental foreman.
- Ensure a high standard of housekeeping in all Engineering areas
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Matric/Grade 12
- N6 or equivalent mandatory.
- GCC (Factories) would be advantageous
- Trade Tested
Required Minimum Experience:
- 8 - 10 years relevant experience in a heavy industry environment with proven people management experience
- Registration as a professional engineer would be considered advantageous
