Driver

About the Driver position

We are seeking a diligent Driver *to join our team at the *East London, Beacon Bay branch. You will be required to deliver and collect stock from various areas in East London and in doing so maintain a clean vehicle and adhere to road and traffic laws. You will also be required to follow any other relevant instructions.

Driver responsibilities are:

• Delivery of orders to customers
• Collecting stock from suppliers
• Ensure correct paperwork goes with goods for delivery / collections
• Checking of stock to ensure it is correct before delivery / collection
• Loading and unloading of stock on vehicle with delivery / collection
• Check vehicle on daily basis for cleanliness and or any damages or wear and tear problems
• Ensure vehicle licence is up to date and inform line manager when it is due for renewal
• Ad hoc duties as required in the stores.

Working hours:

• Mon to Thu 08h00-16h45
• Fri 08h00-16h30

Required:

• Minimum of Matric/NQF4
• 2-3y rs previous Working experience in a similar role
• Capable of lifting large heavy objects throughout the day with the loading and unloading of vehicles
• Valid unendorsed Code B driver's licence (essential)
• Good verbal communication skills in English and one other official South African language
