Description
Role & Responsibilities:
+ Project management and take a lead role on major projects, co-ordinate and provide technical management for large size projects.
Provide specialized technical input to studies and design (geometrics and transport engineering)
Preparation of road designs, bills of quantities, contract documentation and tender evaluation, administration of construction contracts and ad-hoc site supervision.
Project execution and ensure that projects are undertaken to a quality management system, to high technical standards, within budget and programme.
Financial management, administration and control of projects.
Design oversight, support and management to the project team.
Staff development and management.
Business development - support or lead tender pursuits and/or proposals for roads projects.
Any other work, related to projects in the department, as directed.

Ability to multi-task - work on several projects simultaneously.
Ability to plan, leads, support and execute work independently or within a multi-disciplinary project team environment.

Minimum Requirements
Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, specializing in the Transportation sector.
Strong background in terms of Geometric design on major roads projects, not necessarily as a geometric expert.
Demonstrate suitable experience on SANRAL and WCG projects.
Experience in Civil 3D, Infraworks, BIM for road infrastructure design
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
Professionally registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa
Relevant Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering will be advantageous
