Role Purpose:
The EHOD: D&A Business Performance & Governance is based within Finance.

Role purpose:
The Executive Head of Business Performance & Governance is responsible for the implementation of KPIs to support business performance management for the Vodacom Group. The role is responsible for working with Group and Local FP&A teams to ensure KPIs are implemented according to Vodafone and/or business requirements. The function is required to ensure the organisation sources all KPIs centrally from D&A with the assurance that data assets are well governed as the single version of the truth. The role is responsible to advance business performance management by using data science for predictions, target setting and tracking. The function is required to drive the digitalisation and advancement of all performance tracking and monthly performance reviews. Responsibility includes customer level profitability and the reconciliations to financials.

Your responsibilities will include:
KPI Development - Responsible for providing the data for all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by partnering with Data Management
KPI Standards - In partnership with FP&A, represent Vodacom on the Vodafone BI Board for the Governance of MI Standards and ensure standards are met
Financial reconciliations - Ensure all financial measures created in the customer data warehouse reconcile to financial reporting systems and IFRS views built in warehouse
KPI predictions - Enhance use of KPIs by implementing daily predictions using machine learning and mathematical optimisation for target setting to ensure all budget and targets automated
Data Governance - Manage Data Governance team to implement governance assurance on high value/ high risk data assets and all KPIs
**Analytical skills - Ability to understand business requirement and determine data flows to support development of KPIs by working with Data Engineering & IT
Financial skills - Deep understanding of financial accounting and ability to design and build customer level financials in line with IFRS
Technical skills - Extensive experience querying large, complex data sets and experience in working in visualisation tools like Qlik Sense or Qlik View
Agile experience - Ability to work as a team with other D&A professionals, using Agile and partnering with Release Train Engineer to ensure data product delivery
Project Management - proven track record in successful implementations of complex Data Driven Initiatives with the ability to balance multiple concurrent projects across multiple business units or geographies.
Stakeholder Management - Proactive collaboration and stakeholder management specifically with FP&A and FinOps

Must have technical / professional qualifications:
Matric
Honours degree in Accounting or Finance, Chartered Accountant a preference
Excellent knowledge of SQL and working with relational databases
Certification in relevant BI cloud, data management and visualisation tools considered to be favourable
Comfortable working in Agile with formal training completed
