We are looking for a Housekeeping Manager to manage a team of housekeepers, ensuring Sonder runs smoothly, day in and day out! In addition to general housekeeping duties, we rely on our managers to make sure schedules are set, cleans are completed on time and at a high quality, and make sure their team is always working to improve the guest experience!

AT SONDER YOU WILL:

• Lead the Housekeeping Department by developing and implementing departmental objectives in line with Sonder business objectives.
• Supervise housekeeping operations whilst ensuring compliance with all housekeeping policies, procedures, standards and satisfaction of guests' needs.
• Oversee staffing and scheduling to meet daily cleaning volumes. Coordinate the daily logistics of Housekeepers and Housekeeping Support Agents, ensuring the team meets productivity standards and forecasted occupancy.
• Select, train, develop, schedule and manage the performance of direct and indirect subordinates to ensure the efficient running of housekeeping operations
• Manage linen inventory and guest supplies and the ordering of supplies as necessary to meet quality standards and Sonder business needs.
• Coordinate housekeeping duties with Hospitality personnel, Engineering, Sales to ensure that all guest rooms and public areas are clean and well maintained in a timely and efficient manner.
• Coordinate and review contracts, including landscaping, Window cleaning contracts, marble polishing contract, pest management contract, apartment cleaning contract, flowers and decoration contract, and ensure compliance by both parties.
• Accomplish a set of administrative duties such as leading and attending meeting, writing reports and memos and other specific duties related to the job function
• Own budgets, cost tracking, and vendor relationships for payroll, supplies, and laundry
• Maintain required pars of linen, amenities, and consumables for inventory management and in preparation for daily distribution and monthly order
• Perform inspections and quality audits of cleaned apartments and common areas, providing feedback and on-the-job training to cleaners
• Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur on the job
• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, security issues or damage of Sonder property
• Conduct special projects as assigned, prepare reports for management information.
• When necessary, perform housekeeping duties, including: cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, living spaces, and balconies; changing linen and terry; interior window washing; surface polishing, trash/recycling removal; vacuuming, mopping, and dusting; and item restocking

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

• A professional with a strong work ethic, who has the ability to work effectively both in a leadership position as well as independently
• Previous experience in a leadership role with a housekeeping department or similar operation especially in regard to personnel management; have successfully managed a team of more than 30 housekeepers
• Experience with auditing and managing processes with a focus on efficiency and quality. Ability to identify technical issues and suggest workflow improvements
• Technical working knowledge of digital productivity tools including data analysis in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of and experience cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods, as well as working knowledge of operating professional housekeeping equipment cleaning equipment
• Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel, and bend
• Ability to lift, push, and pull required load (usually about 40 lbs)
• This position requires a smartphone and a car in select markets with valid Driver's License, clean driving record, and proof of insurance. Mileage for work-related transportation will be reimbursed.
