Maintenance Engineer

Vertiv Co.-Santa Catarina, Mexico

Responsibilities:

  • Design maintenance strategies, procedures and methods.
  • Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults.
  • Diagnose breakdown problems.
  • Fit new parts and make sure equipment is working correctly
  • Carry out quality inspections on jobs.
  • Liaise with client departments, customers and other engineering and production colleagues.
  • Arrange specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components
  • Control maintenance tools, stores, and equipment.
  • Monitor and control maintenance costs.
  • Deal whit emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs.
  • Improve health and safety policies and procedures
  • Work whit specialist equipment.
  • Write maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning

Education & Certifications:
Minimum Graduates will need a degree in a relevant engineering discipline such as, mechanical, electrical or electronic engineering. Preferred Al least 2 years’ experience on maintenance, test or facilities support departments in manufacturing industry.

  • Lock out/ Tag out safeguarding knowledge.
  • Electrical safety knowledge.
  • CAD software knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions as given.
  • Ability to change shifts and work extended hours.
  • Forklift driving and maintenance knowledge.
  • Ability to solve problems in standard situations.
  • Require basic analytical skills.
  • Basic skills of MS office.
  • Ability to create and manage reports and logs.
  • CMMS (Computarized maintenance management software) knowledge is a plus.
