Requirements
- A qualification as a Post-Basic Pharmacist Assistant with the SAPC
- Institutional Sector modules completion preferred
- Current registration with the South African Pharmacy Council as a
Pharmacist Assistant (Post-basic)
- At least three (3) years’ experience as a PBPA with Primary
Healthcare (ART and TB) experience - advantageous one year in the
PHC sector
- Competent in MS word; Ms PowerPoint and MS Excel, with
administrative experience in a clinic setting
- A valid driver’s licence is essential.
Key Performance Areas
- Assist with management and control of pharmaceutical and
non-pharmaceutical stock by ordering, receiving and checking
requisitions
- Store pharmaceutical products
- Monitor and maintain stock
- Dispense and check pharmaceutical products and providing
instructions regarding the use of medication
- Perform administrative functions as required
- Work under indirect supervision at one or more sites.
