Blending Operator

Intro

We are looking for a Blending Operator to join the Operations team at our manufacturing site based in Kya Sands. It’s an opportunity to be actively involved in the team within production. A key member of the team, you’ll be responsible for the smooth running of a shift, ensuring EHS and Quality standards are maintained and production targets are met.

The operations team on site are responsible for our blending operations, including sifting, packing and shipping of final products.

About the role

  • Ensure manufacturing instructions are followed to load raw materials (sequentially),
  • Achieve the required weekly production plan and targets
  • Ensure all preparation of raw materials, packaging material labels are done correctly prior to production,
  • Reporting of anything that violates Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Environmental and GMP standards,
  • Conduct stock takes and cycle counts as required
  • General Production housekeeping and completion of cleaning schedules
  • Maintenance of EHSQ management systems as required including Internal audits as per the internal assessment requirements
  • Complete production plan on time in full (OTIF)
  • Ensuring all records, e.g. batch and manufacturing records, checklists, charts including Safety, Food Safety, Environmental and GMP and housekeeping related to blending and blending operations are maintained and up to date in SAP
    What you’ll need

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have:

  • Experience of time spent in the food industry
  • Enthusiastic, with a keen interest of food processing
  • Good IS/IT systems knowledge - Excel, SAP
  • An exhibited dedication to EHS and Quality.
