MISSION AND OBJECTIVES
ITO Transaction Support Team is a middle office team that primarily services the CIB Americas NAR Energy and Commodities Business by blending a strong business focus while being driven by industry and operational expertise, efficiency, and control. ITO Transaction Support Team is a transversal team serving the CIB Americas Corporate Platform while focusing on three key missions:
- Provide client service and transaction execution support to facilitate best-in-class solutions for our clients
- Perform tasks requiring specialized sector knowledge
The ITO Transaction Support Team is currently focused on support of the Energies and Commodities Business Line, however, support of additional business lines will be contemplated in the future.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review credit agreements, facility letters, term sheets and/or FC-1 to understand the terms and intricacies of the deal.
- Summarize all pertinent material relating to collateral and prepare a comprehensive checklist of all relevant items to be checked for the lending structure.
- Reconcile borrowing base certificates and support documents to determine compliance to the credit facility and document findings.
- Update internal systems/spreadsheets with current Assets to ensure appropriate levels of borrowing under revolving lines of credit.
- Monitor open account receivable and Inventory limits per customer to confirm outstanding are within the approved limits.
- Ensure all Deposit Control Agreements, Tripartite Agreements and Warehouse Notifications are in place.
- Review and monitor Borrowing Base Historical date for any unusual swings, escalate any unusual findings and update historical spreadsheets.
- Review and monitor valuation trends for ABL or Intermodal BB backing assets, and update trend cards.
- Responsible to monitor receipt of all borrowing base submissions.
- Contact client directly on any issues/questions regarding items on the borrowing base.
- Coordinate and support Chrysalide compliance checks for borrowing base clients according to approved protocols.
- Review and provide analysis of field audits in relation to the underlying credit facility.
REQUIREMENTS - Minimum of 2 years working for a Financial Institution.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in reviewing and analyzing client’s borrowing base information is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in dealing directly with bank clients, preferably in the resolution of deficient borrowing base documentation and data.
- Background in financial accounting rules and financial reporting analysis.
- Highly detailed review skills in the review and reconciliation of accounting records and reports.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate vertically within an organization.
- Good customer service skills.
- Understanding of credit agreements along with the ability to interpret the terms and conditions and transpose them into a borrowing base analysis model.
- Ability to provide independent insight in the resolution of deficient and/or incorrect data received from clients and work independently in communicating such deficiencies to clients and bank senior management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate vertically within an organization.
- Expert/Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel.
- Exposure to traditional trade finance products and commercial lending transactions related to the commodity finance business in a bank/financial institution environment will be considered an asset.
