Responsible for the planning, budgeting and timeous delivery of projects while ensuring the creation and updating of project documentation and systems in the project management environment.*

Job Responsibilities
*:

  • Coordinating internal resources and vendors for the flawless execution of projects - Ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget - Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility - Ensure resource availability and allocation - Develop a detailed project plan to track progress - Ensure compliance with statutory requirements on projects - Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs - Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques - Report and escalate to management as needed - Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders - Perform risk management to minimize project risks - Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/ vendors - Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation - Attending site meeting to represent Gyro with contractors, developers and consultants - Dealing with defects and other post completion matters during the Defects Liability Period - Contribute to the development and implementation of better/innovative work systems in line with business needs*

    Membership with the SA Council for Quantity Surveying or SACPCMP accreditation - will be an advantage

Qualifications:
Relevant Degree/ Diploma (NQF level 6) in Built Environment. Possession of a Postgraduate qualification in Project Management will be an advantage.*
Experience:
Minimum 5 years experience in Project Management Procurement related commercial environment is required. Experience in property development, built environment, and/or outsourced facilities management or project management extensive project planning and/or construction of commercial buildings. Experience in full project Lifecycle including Costs estimating and /or Operating Costs.

Exceptional ability to extrapolate numerical data from multiple sources and break it into various components, patterns and relationships. Ability to probe for information to obtain greater understanding of a problem and make rational judgements from the available information and analysis. Seamless understanding of how one matter may be a part of a much larger system. Entrepreneurial and commercial acumen (kept abreast of business developments at the competition's camp or market trends and identify business opportunities). Commercial awareness: demonstrate financial awareness, controls costs and thinks in terms of profit, loss and added value. Strong communication abilities: (writes and speaks fluently; expresses opinions and key points of an argument clearly and ability to make presentations). Extensive knowledge and use of planning and Project Management tools. All round knowledge of PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge). Deep and proven knowledge of Facilities Management, Real Estate and Workplace industry best practices and trends.
