Warehouse Supervisor

WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR - CAPE TOWN - R18000 to R21000

The Right Company are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor to assist with the smooth operation of the client’s Cape Town warehouse. This person will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the warehouse operations and staff, to ensure that their customer requirements, targets and operational requirements are met.

Duties and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Supervise the day-to-day operations in a warehouse
  • Assist with planning and scheduling of department functions to ensure prompt and accurate dispatching, collections and receiving of stock and transferring of stock into the warehouse.
  • Coordinate inventory transfers with the related departments.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement within the warehouse.
  • Ensure that stock is correctly and accurately received in good order and condition and is acceptable for selling.
  • Assist with priority reports and other information to prioritize work.
  • Ensuring accurate identification and barcoding of products.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting and shipping.
  • Assist with checking in of goods in accordance to the warehouse procedures and through the utilization of the correct information systems.
  • Liaise with internal and external customers timeously as required
  • Assist with the day-to-day management of the team, including leave, attendance and disciplinary management.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (or equivalent)
  • Qualification in warehousing/supply chain/logistics or relevant field
  • At least 2-3 years supervisory experience, or proof of consistent career advancement to qualify for advancement to a Supervisor.
  • Ability to motivate and develop direct reports.
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office Package), SAP, Qwix.
