Responsibilities & Requirements Use of torch, grind material, gauch cutting, plasma cutting. Calibrate welding tools and equipment according to the parameters listed in the WPS, ISO15609-1 Secure and fasten structural components using clamps, braces, jacks, and bolt straps Fit and weld metal components for structural steel Set equipment to weld in vertical, horizontal, flat or overhead positions. Welding steel parts with welding equipment as specified by fabrication technical drawing. Ensure that welding work is done neatly and in accordance with the standards BS En 1090-2 Monitor welder performance ISO 9606-1 and quality issues. Perform tack-welding or welding of components and assemblies using appropriate welding equipment. Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures Certificate/Diploma in Welding (especially FCAW and MIG) with minimum 2 years experience in fabrication welding Ability to interpret welding symbols, fabrication technical drawing and process sheet Knowledge of safety operating Oxy-Acetylene cutter. Ability to control tight dimension of overall 12 meter (within 5mm) Able to follow safety guidelines and use protective equipment (e.g. goggles) Skilled in inspect and evaluate welds to ensure they are free of defect and conform to set specifications
