Fabrication Project Manager

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Planning what work needs to be done, when and who’s going to do it;
  • Looking at the risks involved in a particular project and managing these risks;
  • Making sure the work is done to the right standard;
  • Motivating the team of people involved in the project;
  • Co-ordinating work done by different people;
  • Making sure the project is running on time and to budget;
  • Dealing with changes to the project as and when necessary;
  • Making sure the project delivers the expected outcomes and benefits;
  • Must have own transport

COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION

  • NQF level 4 Qualification (Grade 12);
  • Microsoft Projects, anything additional is a bonus.
  • College degree or equivalent project manager experience.
  • English or Afrikaans but both would be preferable

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience in steel fabrication
  • Able to function effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively identify, communicate and solve problems.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Technical understanding of fabrication.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Must be able to take instruction and execute accordingly
  • Strong listening skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent multitasking skills.

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 40 per week

Salary: R20,000.00 - R30,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
