Description
Purpose: Responsible to execute general tasks in the process of Distillation and Maturation of Brandy in Worcester under the supervision of the Production Controller.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- 1 year experience in a spirits environment
- Basic numerical skills
- Must be able to work overtime and over weekends when operationally required
- Code B drivers licence ( added advantage)
- Must be willing to work shifts
Skills Required:
- Knowledge of general cellar work
- Administrative skills
- No fear of heights
- No fear for small spaces (claustrophobic)
Job Summary:
- Ensure of raw materials for distillation is received in line with KWV policy and procedures
- Responsible for the distillation of brandy
- Assist with the maturation of product by ensuring the housekeeping and stocktaking is up to standard and done in line with the company policy and procedures
- Responsible for the dispatch of products in line with KWV policy and procedures
- Adhere to health and safety standards
- Operate a forklift when needed on an ad hoc basis
- Responsible for ad hoc duties in Department as required
