Job Advert Summary:
Purpose of the position:
The M&E Officer will oversee the development and rollout of effective M&E processes, tools and systems for the supported district. The M&E Officer will provide technical assistance through mentorship, training and support to the supported district and sub-district Department of Health and THC team with the aim to strengthen local capacity in the provision of sustainable care and treatment. Participation in relevant internal, district and sub-district Department of Health M&E and data discussions and activities and provide ongoing technical support.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 certificate
- 2- 3 years’ experience in data management, maintaining and/or updating databases; data verification / quality assurance experience and/or training.
- 2 -3 years’ data analysis experience.
- 3 years’ experience with HIV, AIDS and STI programme data.
- Net, DHIS and information management background.
- Fluent in Afrikaan /isiXhosa and/or English
- Valid code 08 driver’s license will be an advantage
- Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19
Duties and Responsibilities:
- M&E System and Process Development
- Data Verification and Routine Data Quality Assessments
- Human Resources and Capacity Building
- Data Review and Usage
- Collects, validates, analyzes, interprets, and summarizes data collected from the facility based programmes and community based program staff in preparation for generation of reports as well as merge, modify and edit data files as needed for analysis.
- Reports on progress and achievements timeously at programme level, by compiling accurate reports for funders and stakeholders, this includes weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports as well as ad-hoc reports
