Description
As Demi Chef De Partie, you will be responsible for the day to day operation of a section of the kitchen working with a specific team supporting lounge operations. You will ensure quality, safety and appearance of production and service of food to our Premium passengers. You will understand and demonstrate the importance of upholding the highest personal and professional standard. You will have a positive and passionate attitude towards customers.
Your key accountabilities includes:
- Ensures compliance with food safety and hygiene practices as per policies and procedures set by the company
- Support the induction of new commis (cooks) and new staff
- Attends and is actively involved in team and shift briefings
- Participates in the preparation of menu items and actively involved in the presentation of buffets
- Assist the CDP in preparing menu orders and deliver to the sous chef for approval and final processing
- Liaise with stores and other departments to ensure smooth operations
- Allocate cooks for tasks within the kitchen and other areas as required
- Ensure that adequate staffing levels are maintained per shift
- Ensure FIFO is followed in kitchen stores and production areas
- Communicates with the Duty Supervisor to cater to any requirements
- Attends team meetings and provides suggestions when possible
- Manages menu requirements and changes as directed by the Duty Supervisor
Qualifications
You will have Trade/Vocational qualification with minimum of 3 years of job related experience in a similar level role.
You will understand the needs of multi-cultural working environment with the ability to foster teamwork among team members.
You need to have excellent leadership, communication and the ability to develop junior staff. You will have good planning/organizing and problem solving skills to manage the workloads and current responsibilities of the role. In addition, you will have a strong command of English language.
