Vacancy exist for a Professional Nurse - Paarl Donor Division Department (Paterson Grade C2)
Purpose of the Job
- The overall health & safety of the donor
- Medically screen donors, accepts or defers resulting in the collection of safe blood
- Ensuring professionalism and safe, hygienic conditions for performing successful blood collection
- All medical related decisions
- Assist with promotional/administrative activities as needed
Minimum Requirements
- Matriculation Certificate
- Diploma in Nursing Science
- Registered with the SA Nursing Council
- Venepuncture/Phlebotomy experience is essential - preferably gained in an ICU or Trauma unit
- Previous Blood Transfusion experience would be an added advantage
- A code 8 driver’s licence without endorsements
- Be prepared to relocate to Paarl/ Wellington area
- Fully bilingual - English and Afrikaans

- The working hours are variable i.e. shift basis
