Description
We are seeking an energetic, personable, compassionate and friendly individual to add to our exceptional team of veterinary medical professionals. This position involves standard reception duties; answering telephones, managing patient flow into and out of the hospital, and handling invoice payments from clients. The non-standard duties that come with a veterinary position include emergency triage, discussing payment options, communication effectively with clients who may be upset or emotional, scratching dog ears, soothing scared kittens, and all the warm fuzzies when you truly help make someone's day better.
Our hospital is very a very busy place and we place high importance on doing our best for each pet, so we are looking for someone who is motivated and organized. On site training will be provided, but previous experience in the medical and/or veterinary fields would be significant assets. Working hours are Monday 8:30 am - 7:00pm and Tuesday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm, with one hour (unpaid) lunch break and NO regular hour weekends. We do share on-call duties with other clinics in the area, so there will be at least one weekend shift (paid at premium rate) every other month, as well as weekday on-call shifts that are also paid at a premium rate.
Salary: From $16.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff are required to wear a mask as well as clients entering the building for appointments. Curbside option is still available and on going for all food and medication pick up. Sanitizing and cleaning up to hospital standards in-between patients.

Experience:
- Veterinary Assistant: 1 year (preferred)
- Front desk: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
