Description
We are searching for an admin assistant to join our Durban (Jacobs) based Chemical Trading Company. The admin assistant will be required to perform various administrative and clerical tasks. This includes supporting managers and employees, assisting in daily office needs, and managing our company’s general administrative activities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide general administrative and clerical support including mailing, scanning, faxing, and copying to management
- Screen phone calls, redirect calls, and take messages
- Receive deliveries; sort and distribute incoming mail
- Maintain and order office supplies
- Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system
- Debtors/Creditors: including Invoicing, Statements, Data capturing, sending out transport instructions, handling driver and logistics if required, Raising, and forwarding Purchase Orders -Internal sales and Stock control
Requirements and skills:
- Matric certification
- Minimum 2 years experience in admin administration
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and Outlook, in particular)
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Sage one/Pastel experience will be advantageous
