Social Media and Community Manager

We are searching for a highly motivated, creative person with experience and a passion for engaging with current and future customers. The ultimate goal is to turn fans into customers.

In this position you will be responsible for all aspects of a company’s social media administrations as well as managing and developing a brand’s online community.

Your tasks include:

  • Planning, implementing, and maintaining a social media presence that ensures a high level of web traffic and customer engagement.
  • Create and implement social media strategy to align with business goals
  • Generate impactful and meaningful content on all social media platforms. It encompasses areas such as writing and editing social media posts, growing customer engagement, and supporting social media campaigns
  • Set definite objectives and report on social media Return on Investment (ROI)
  • Crafting out social media content and plans that are in alignment with the company’s brand identity
  • Produce, edit, distribute and share engaging content on a regular basis (e.g. original text, photos, videos, and news)
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and customer service teams to ensure brand consistency
  • Lead and promote social influencer programs, while regularly attending social influencer events
  • Supervise social media accounts’ posts to ensure the design and brand consistency (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures, and blog layout)
  • Recommend and implement new initiatives to develop brand awareness such as promotions, events, and contests
  • Monitor search, social, and content metrics
  • Use web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, and Facebook Insights to monitor and evaluate the company’s social media presence and performance
  • Recommend proposals to tweak the social media marketing strategy for optimal results
  • Prepare periodical reports on social media marketing efforts for the Digital Marketing Lead

(SM Community manager):

  • Serve as a point of contact for the company’s social media platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, forum and blog
  • Interact with community members and customers in a professional, personable, and timely manner to grow and keep the community alive
  • Work with the marketing, creative, and customer experience team to create high quality, engaging, relevant, and timely content
  • Manage the social media editorial calendar and ensure the content is published by the stipulated deadlines
  • Foster and strengthen new relationships with key influencers within the community
  • Deploy social listening tools to monitor positive/negative comments and topic trends, and strive to boost engagement and resolve any potential conflicts that may affect brand reputation
  • Generate comprehensive reports on overall community sentiment and notable trends and provide meaningful feedback
  • Keep up to date to the latest social media trends and emerging social media platforms in the industry

Job requirements:

  • Completed studies in the field of communication, marketing or a comparable course of study (Bachelor / Master)
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in social media marketing and management in an agency or on the corporate side
  • Profound knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop) and common social media editing tools
  • Strong online and media affinity
  • Strong interest in the use of social media, relevant and up-to-date knowledge of digital trends and innovations
  • Very good knowledge of German and English (level C1/C2)
  • Experience in using CMS systems, moving image and image editing programs,
  • Experience in project management and in dealing with external partners
  • Ability to present complex factual contexts concisely, target group-oriented and quickly in words and pictures
  • Implementation of statutory regulations and internal requirements (e.g. data protection, accessibility, corporate design).
