Job Summary:
Performs various patient care activities and related non professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answers signal lights and bells to determine patient’s needs.
- Bathe, groom, shave, dress, or drape patients to prepare them for surgery, treatment, or examination.
- Observe patients’ conditions, measuring and recording food and liquid intake and output and vital signs, and report changes to professional staff.
- Drapes patients for examinations and treatments, and remains with patients, performing such duties as holding instruments and adjusting lights.
- Turn and reposition bedridden patients, alone or with assistance, to prevent bedsores.
- Changes bed linens, runs errands, direct visitors, and answers telephone.
- Collect specimens such as urine, feces, or sputum.
- Administer treatments, such as, irrigations, enemas, massages, and douches, as directed by a physician or nurse.
- Provide patients with help walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bed.
- Clean, stores, prepares, and issues dressing packs, treatment trays, and other supplies.
- Observes hospital and nursing service rules, regulations and policies.
- Interprets to patients and family and visitors rules and regulations and policies that affect them.
- Keeps self updated through continuing education program.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 48 per week
Salary: Php11,000.00 - Php12,000.00 per month
