About the role:
ADE requires a suitably qualified Laboratory Technician to join our Melbourne NATA accredited Chemical Testing Laboratory to perform sampling on soil, water and air samples in a high paced laboratory. The position is ideally suited to a technically oriented person with great attention to detail ready to start their scientific career.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Weighing and preparation of the samples.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and instrumentation in accordance with national standards
- Contribute to the maintenance of laboratory quality control and quality assurance systems
- Report low stock of consumables, standards, chemicals etc.
Skills and experience that may be required:
- Ability to work in team or independently
- Ability to reason and interpret with good attention to detail and clear record keeping
- Intermediate or higher in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Full rights to work full-time in Australia
