About the role:
As part of the Perth Office, this role reports to the Operations Manager, laisse with internal and external stakeholders whilst inputting documentation and performing the necessary procedures to ensure a smooth inbound and outbound shipment process for both sea and air freight.

Requirements:
What you will be doing:

  • Sea & air freight
  • LCL & FCL
  • Compile LCL and FCL rate requests and advise sales on margin and routing for LCL & FCL business
  • Coordinate and negotiate inbound & outbound LCL & FCL traffic and strengthen Bollore Logistics’ purchasing power by establishing feasible consolidations
  • Respond to FCL traffic enquiries
  • Process job files
  • Enter and update shipping information and requirements into the system
  • Liaise with external sales stakeholders on rates and areas of significant advantage over our competitors
  • Assist advertising consolidation boxes through local offices
  • Generate sales leads
  • Communicate effectively with overseas agents to ensure all air imports are processed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Account management
  • Oversee job functions on key accounts
  • Ensure function reporting is met with client requirements
  • Communication
  • Maintain an active communication channel with customs and conduct reviews
  • Report complaints or issues raised by Customers, overseas offices and agents to relevant stakeholders
  • Respond to existing and new client requests
  • Assist in resolving customer issues
  • Determine sell rates and create existing and new business
  • Liaise with Customer Service and operations to set up and update customer profiles based on buy rates and overseas billings as per agreed quotations
  • Invoice jobs and collect monies before delivery
  • Approve job invoice requests and escalate invoice issues with relevant stakeholders

Essential:

  • Minimum of two years of related experience
  • Sea and air freight operation knowledge
  • Understands industry terminology (Incoterms)

Desirable:

  • Robust multi-task and prioritise capabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to work as a team
  • Knowledge of EDI
