- Ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to health.
- Ensure contractor and Site compliance according to client specification.
- Ensure proper quality checks are done on a fixed SOR template before a Client walk through is scheduled for sign off ( FAC / CAC )
- Issue site instructions and non compliance notices.
- Ensure the Company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.
- Ensure that all accidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented.
- Ensure that safety inspections are carried out,(SOR / Site walkthrough Audits)
- Ensure all sites work in a safe and trained manner (according to the client spec)
- Give site / daily activity feedback to the line manager everyday.
- Be present at all client walkthroughs and site sign offs.
- Ensure site PM’s do proper quality inspections before CAC / FAC sign off.
- Ensure all Subcontractor HSE files are up to date and on site at all times.
- Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Matric
- Ability to effectively communicate in English
- Driver’s license
- Previous experience in construction industry is an advantage
- Take initiative
- Ability to work within a team and independently
- Ability to cope well under pressure
- Ability to work co-operatively with others to complete tasks and implement process improvements
- Ability to work in, and adapt to a rapidly changing environment
