Description
This roll will be responsible for ADAS (Advance Driver Assistance Systems) components development from new project launch to project maintenance during vehicle life cycle.
Focus on Vehicle quality & development, safe launch activities, product quality improvement, cost saving initiatives as well as teamwork and communication with Global Nissan areas. (Japan, US, India, China, Brazil, Argentina)
Main responsibilities:
Complete launch of parts/systems while achieving targets for performance, quality, cost, and timing.
Conduct the following duties: basic calculations & design predictions utilizing common engineering methods as well as Nissan-specific approaches, CAD design studies, specification creation & issuance to suppliers, cost planning and analysis, drawing release, and root cause problem solving of various design or part related items.
Interface with related NTCNA departments and global Nissan R&D and suppliers.
Plant support; support plant investigation requests
Value optimization; engineer components to maximize value without sacrificing performance
Education:
Bachelor’s degree Mechatronics engineering or related.
Previous experience:
At least 4 years of experience in automotive part development. (Plus: meter, BCM, radar, sonar sensor, cameras)
Required knowledge:
Mechanical and electronic skills.
Familiar with various problem solving methodologies (5-Why, Is/Is-Not, Fault Tree Analysis, etc)
Technical understanding of automotive design and development processes, production, troubleshooting and maintenance.
Engineering design experience in some of the following areas is a plus; Vehicle electronic components (ADAS, BCM, ECM, Safety Control Units, Meter, Electronic stability control module, Tire pressure monitoring system, IPDM).
