Our organization is seeking Screeners to fill the following vacancies:
St. Paul's Hospital - RAAC (PHC22-135808)

  • Site: Rapid Access Addiction Clinic (RAAC)
  • Hours: around 17hrs/week
  • Shift: 8:30AM to 16:30PM, weekdays and weekends, on rotation.

St. Paul's Hospital - Parkade (PHC22-135743)

  • Site: SPH Parkade level P1 outside Providence elevator entrance
  • Hours: around 19.5hrs/week
  • Shifts: 6AM-2PM and 2PM-8PM on rotation, weekdays and weekends

St. Paul's Hospital - multisite (breakrelief) (PHC135458)

  • Site: Break Relief: Screener moves to each station to provide breaks.
  • Hours: around 18hrs/week
  • Shifts: 8:30AM-1:30PM and 1:30PM-6:30PM, on rotation, weekdays and weekends

Mount St Joseph Hospital (PHC22-135217)

  • Site: MSJ Prince Edward Entrance
  • Hours: 21hrs/week
  • Shifts: 6AM-2Pm and 2PM-8:30PM, on rotation, weekdays and weekends

Reporting to the Leader or designate, the Screener performs a variety of duties. They support the maintenance of safety and infection prevention procedures.

Duties
Reporting to the Leader or designate, the Screener performs a variety of duties. They support the maintenance of safety and infection prevention procedures. Duties include:

  • greeting and communicating with individuals accessing the site (patients, employees, visitors, authorized delivery services, and contractors)
  • ensuring their attendance at the site is essential;
  • providing information regarding entrance guidelines and restrictions
  • making sure individuals adhere to the restrictions.

The Screener asks questions regarding potential symptoms using established and provided scripts. They provide non-surgical masks to visitors as needed, and take digital temperature reading if required. They effectively reinforces site hand-hygiene and safe physical distancing practices in accordance with established procedures/guidelines. Finally, they completes staff screening tracking forms.

Education
- Grade 12, one years’ recent, related health care or community social service sector experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Previous experience as a COVID-19 Screener or Security Guard is an asset.

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 17-21 per week

Salary: $21.77 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

All employees working for Providence Health Care must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination status will be required.

  • Most of our screener opportunities work 2 shifts, on rotation. All screnners work both shifts, all screnners complete the rotation. Can you work both shifts and complete the rotation?
