Requirements:

• Ability to work on a rotating shift basis.
• Enroll in WHMIS Training Program
• Physically capable of performing all required duties; i.e.
• Climbing stairs
• Bending and lifting
• Work in extreme temperatures, in high humidity and dusty conditions.
• Function in a noisy environment and wear hearing protection as required.
• Working with chemicals.
• Work with all required safety equipment
• Demonstrate mathematical ability through written testing.
• Preference will be given to those with prior QC experience
• Satisfactory past job performance.

Responsibilities:

• Successful completion of a 120-day familiarization period.
• Work under the direction of and report to the Quality Control Supervisor.
• Perform grading procedures on finished product as per established procedures.
• Enter all grade results into the SPC and SAP systems.
• Enter all held product into the WMS system.
• Ensure all equipment is operating properly through testing and observation i.e., length classifier, bag checkweighers, etc.
• Take immediate action when product is not within specification.
• Take immediate action when there is a HACCP check failure.
• Calibration of various packaging area equipment for quality control purposes.
• Monitor supplies inventory.
• Report violations of Dress Code, Health and Sanitation rules.
• Complete all QC, QC Cal and HACCP procedures and check sheets.
• Accurately relate/maintain all required documentation.
• Perform all duties in a safe, accurate and efficient manner.
• Perform housekeeping in work area to maintain established standards.
• Provide help in other areas of Quality Control as required.
• All other duties as assigned.
