Description
Coordinate, monitor and manage the performance of all Regions, Stores and Agents within the specified areas as assigned by Head Office.
- Work hand-in-hand with top management (serving as a link between them and the individual region/stores) in order to develop and implement new plans/ideas that will enhance the operations of the company at large scales.
- Increase the sales and control the expenses at regional level to improve the EBIT under his/her supervision.
- Improve regional processes, policies, and practices to achieve company’s goals and ensure regional stores adhere to company-wide laid down rules and guidelines.
- Monitoring on the manpower level and hiring at the region and stores.
- Responsibilities
Overall responsibility of obtaining profitable results through the team by developing sales team in region under his/her supervision.
Coordinate with District Managers/Area Managers in preparing the annual sales budget and monitoring the performance of the region in meeting the budget. To investigate budget deviations and provide monthly region sales performance summary report for review by the top management.
Help improve the efficiency of support services like communication channels and IT; and ensure free flowing communication amongst the region/stores.
Work in close association with the District Managers and Area Managers to achieve the overall Regions, stores, agents, B2B and digital business sales forecast.
Plan and coordinate promotional events for Region, Stores and Agents activities at the targeted outdoor locations towards the migrant workers such as road show, distribute leaflet, posters, newsletters and banner at migrant premises, night marketing at migrant’s hostel or festival program.
Planning, Coordinating and participate in any promotional activities and road shows at Region, Stores and Agents under his/her supervision, working with event managers and respective corridor champion.
Identifying and proposing locations of business opportunities or expansion of market share analysis for Ria branding and advertising in all regions under his/her supervision to the top management.
Plan and Conduct regions visits, both schedule and unscheduled. Scheduled visit to each Region, Stores and Agents must be done at least once every month. Unscheduled visit can be done randomly or as and when needed.
Conduct periodic checks to ensure that all Regions, Stores, Agents, B2B and digital business adhere to Standard Operating Procedures, guidelines and instructions issued by Head Office and Regulatory Authorities.
Submit comprehensive report and present on each region visits to Sales and Marketing Director and Retail Manager.
Escalate issues relating to crisis or impending crisis that may lead to declaration of disaster, which necessitate the invocation of Business Continuity Plan.
Give feedback on how the entire region functions to top management on a regular basis so as to ensure that company general activities flow on the same wavelength.
Work hand in hand with each business units in HQ to fix the day to day issue by region or stores.
In addition, in the day-to-day job, the Regional Manager will have to:
Guarantee service to the store’s customers on day-to-day basis and act with the aim to growing the volume of transaction by being a visible presence in the marketplace in all Region, Stores and Agents under he/his supervision.
Be responsible to respond to requested information from Head office and Stores and Agents in a timely manner.
Report to the top management on regular and timely basis to ensure that he/she is fully and correctly briefed in all aspects of your work.
Provide a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly report plan and how it compares against agreed targets. - Qualifications
Bachelors degree (or higher) from an accredited university or college preferred
Working experience minimum 5years in retails industry or any related industry
Ability to travel within assigned territory daily if required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Malay and English
Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends;
Some computer knowledge with ability to use MS Word and Excel for reporting
Strong leadership skill and sales oriented person
Ability to communicate with all levels of employees within the company and work well with others or independently
