Description
The Site Engineer is responsible for the progress of site works and manpower related aspects of the project. A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:
- Monitor and review master construction program and preparation of catch-up program, where applicable.
- Prepare detailed program for the site team to follow accordingly.
- Prepare detailed method statements and work instructions for construction.
- Involve in coordination between sub-contractors / vendors / departments and anticipate labour / material / equipment demands to meet schedules.
- Plan all works on site, including program schedules and construction methods, forecast equipment, material and manpower requirement, as well as control usage and wastages.
- Day-to day monitoring and supervision of the site to ensure compliance to the quality procedures & standard of workmanship. Checking on quality and quantity of work by subcontractors.
- Resolve technical and engineering matters
- Adhere to safety requirements in the workplace as well as BCA Covid-19 Safe Management Measures (SMM) for Construction Sites.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Education: Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from a recognized University
- Experience: 5 years of proven experience in related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal ability
- Team player who can also work independently
- Self-driven, organized and ability to multi-task
