JOB TITLE: Global Assistant Brand Manager - Design

BUSINESS CONTEXT:
Welcome to an all-new world of B&W! Bringing together our 2 biggest categories, Hair (about 6B€) and Skincare (about 3B€) with an exciting chance to build a new organization ground up from day one with new beauty capabilities, in the Design department. You will work in a team of Expert Beauty Crafters, in charge of either Hair or Skin, end to end, for a specialized approach of our key categories, creating connections and synergies between the 2 where relevant.

It is time for UL to help Categories/Brand Teams to craft superior mixes with superior beauty, superior desirability, leveraging sensory design for purpose, and breaking the codes. Enhancing for each Brand their clear, distinctive, and consistent identity versus competition.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Work closely with R&D, Packaging, Supply Chain, CMI and Marketing, to help drive more impactful sustainable innovation and excellence in design. Collaborate with the Brand Manager to craft End to End Beauty Eco-Systems with early funnel opportunities (2 to 5 years). Elevating our design capabilities, for formula (technology+sensorial+sustainability), packaging (usage/inclusivity+sensorial+sustainability) and consumer experience/journey.

Participate from scratch in the establishment of a new department, where entrepreneurship will be a key success factor. UL is conscious of the role that packaging plays on all the value chain of beauty and value creation, helping to price up especially in a super inflation time, especially for the most expert products such as treatment, serums, specialist products.

Our products, that are already affordable must look even better as we charge for them a little bit more to create desirability and long-term engagement with brands. Furthermore:

  • You are a crafter at heart
  • You are comfortable with the R&D world, technology savvy, but able to translate into simple words with obsession for consumers and perfect execution end to end.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of consumers and competitors - the business environment in which the brands compete including category segments, channels, and target audience through the analysis of available data and information.
  • Identify gaps and growth opportunities within the market
  • Strategic project management, building project timelines and defining key milestones and responsibilities for effective progress
  • Stakeholder influencing especially with Global Team Docking on innovations
  • Trendspotting for opportunities

KEY REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in working in both global and local roles
  • Experience working in the digital space. Have a digital first mindset!
  • Experience working on long-term roadmaps
  • Experience working on innovation projects
  • Previous successful experience of working in beauty industry or beauty initiatives
  • Experience in helping to develop consumer and customer facing initiatives
