Description
Responsibilities:
- Develop and create architectural drawings, AutoCAD floor plans, shop drawings, and elevations from sketches
- Prepare construction specifications, costs and material estimates
- Perform site visits for site measurements / field surveys of the existing buildings
- Assist manager with day to day management of the project and documentation
Requirements:
- Fluency in English & Ability to speak / understand Chinese (Cantonese preferred)
- Holder of a certificate / diploma of a drafting / technology program
- Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD required
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office; knowledge of SketchUp is a bonus
- Ability to read architectural drawings and specifications and to visualize three-dimensional objects from two-dimensional drawings
- Ability to communicate and work independently with engineers, architects, tradespersons, and clients to address tight schedules and multiple deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly organized, a multi-tasker, readily adapting to ever-changing workplace priorities
- Good time management skills
- Strong sense to Interior Design is an asset
Salary: $18.00-$28.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Vancouver, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- AutoCAD: 1 year (required)
- drafting: 1 year (preferred)
