Description
The position requires machine operator/fabricator with previous experience working in a custom production and manufacturing environment that has 1 - 3 years experience with operating machinery and MIG welding (preferably aluminum).
Responsibilities:
- Welding aluminum with (MIG), using machines such as knuckling machine, metal dishing machines, flanging machines, large metal roller, brake presses, shears, grinders, bevellers, torches & hand plasmas
- Build bulkheads and skins for highway tankers
- Material handling with forklift
- Assisting tank builders with day-to-day activities
Skills:
- Work from blueprints and raw materials to finished parts that can be welded together into complete products
- Previous experience working on custom pieces and be comfortable working with aluminum considered an asset
Equipment needed:
Tools, Steel-toed safety boots, Gloves, Welding helmet
