Carpenter - **Orleans
We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to provide general handyman work in homes under construction with attention to detail and great workmanship always being maintained.
About the role:
The Carpenter will be responsible for:
- conducting repairs on finished surfaces included but not limited to drywall, paint, trims, floors.
- completing minor framing and carpentry work such as building temporary stairs, sawhorses and lumber racks, bracing foundation walls.
- maintaining maintenance logs as required for site vehicle and other equipment.
- ensure all eQ staff and Trade Partners abide by the Ministry of Labour regulations and EQ Health and Safety Policy.
- handling gas/propane temp heaters on-site.
About You
You have:
- five years of working in construction with relevant job experience.
- the ability to maintain to do lists and stay focused on the task at hand.
- the ability to work hard while maintaining attention to detail at all times.
- an understanding of the MOL requirements and the importance of reporting structure as it relates to Health and Safety.
- a willingness and ability to perform daily physical labour.
- a clean driver’s record (driver’s abstract will be required).
