The job in short
To manage and build TOFU sales opportunities. The BDM will be responsible for developing and qualifying incoming leads (MQLs) into sales qualified leads through initial calls, meetings, discovery activities and relationship building. You will also be responsible for a set of 'serviceable accounts' where you will be expected to establish relationships across the business, IT and digital leaders in the bank; the objective being to position Backbase and the value it brings as the premier Digital Engagement Platform and generate further opportunities for onward sales qualification

Most companies within the Financial Services Industry have realized that superior customer experience and user interfaces is a must have in the current market. You will be responsible for challenging these enterprises to think outside of the box to realise the true value that Backbase brings to the table. You will follow up with their interest and convert these strategic conversations into new, well qualified opportunities.
You will have multiple opportunities to present the solutions to the customers on-site in your region. We will help you to grow further into your sales careers, where you will be trained and mentored, to become the best in the business.
How about you
- You are proactive, independent and passionate about what you do;
- You are digital fluent and tech savvy, curious with a willingness to challenge the status quo
- Structured, disciplined and thorough in your approach to work and confident with presenting.
- You have done enterprise software sales in FS domain for a minimum of 18 months;
- You are ready to take the next step in your sales career where you will be able to grow into a quota carrying role;
- You are able to talk (and listen!) to Cx-level executives about the challenges they face. It is all about excellent organizational, presentation and communication skills;
- You have an ability to understand customer business drivers and the ability to establish buy-in at all levels;
- It is in your nature to want to learn more about the market and developments that are happening all around you;
- You are fluent in English is mandatory, together with native or business fluency in Italian.
