Lead Oracle DBA (Must be eligible to be Security cleared)

Up to £70k DOE

Key skills:

• Senior/Lead Oracle DBA experience (Any Experience in other databases such as MySQL, SQL Server or Postgres advantageous )
• Technical lead experience (As a senior or a lead DBA)
• Solid understanding of Oracle database Architecture
• Strong Performance Tuning skills and experience
• Experience with upgrades, backups, recoveries and migrations.
• Cloud vendor experience (preferably AWS or Azure)
• Experience of DBA with non-relational databases and in cloud environments is desirable

Role Overview:

• Design, configuration and Implementation of all database related tools and technologies
• Work with the Architecture team to help define the technical architecture in relation to database systems
• Planning and managing all improvements and ongoing maintenance (routine updates, upgrades, new releases) ensuring that any disruption is kept to a minimum
• Managing the availability of databases that underpin all systems ensuring resources are correctly allocated to guarantee optimum performance and high resilience
• Systems Monitoring; investigating and resolving issues where necessary
• Actively contributing towards the development and maintenance of data standards and data management policies

Salary: Up to £70k DOE
