Description
Kepak Group is currently recruiting for experienced Butchers/Boning Hall Operatives and Slaughter Operatives for our UK sites: McIntosh Donald in Aberdeen (Scotland), St.Merryn in Bodmin (Cornwall, England), and St.Merryn in Merthyr (Wales). We are looking for skilled to semi-skilled people with committed attitude and willing to learn more.
Job details:
- Species: Beef and Lamb
- Production levels: up to 2000 cattle per week and 5000 per week (site dependant)
- Monday to Friday production, core hours of 40-45 per week (site dependant)
- Enhanced overtime rates
- 28 days per year paid annual leave, increasing to 31 days after 6 months service
- Starting Basic Pay GBP2160.00 or +/- ZAR41,000.00 per month
Requirements:
- Competence and significant experience in butchery/slaughter and/or knife skills essential
- Previous experience working in a high-volume meat processing factory preferred
- Able to work in chilled environment
- Manual handling ability and awareness
- Flexibility to meet daily production targets
- Consistent approach and strong work ethic
- Able to work under own initiative and as part of a team
- Adaptable to change and production demands
- Passion for food
