What You’ll be Doing:
Primary Duties- Deliver Toyota product, technology and competitive training to Toyota Dealers.- In dealership training-
- Zone regional training-
- National training events-
- Virtual training-
- Collaborate with Zone Manager, Zone Sales Manager and Parts & Service Manager to identify dealer and regional training opportunities.- Utilize available reports and information to identify dealer and regional sales training gaps/opportunities.-
- Work with dealers and zone team to develop training action plan-
- Deliver training/resources to dealership staff-
- Produce training summary for zone team to follow up-
- Develop training material to support regional requirements.- Plan and execute regional training sessions (non-national).- Obtain appropriate competitive product for research and training purposes.- Ongoing product knowledge upgrading required, staying abreast of the latest Toyota product changes and technology.- Ongoing research of product knowledge for competitors is required to be aware of the products in the market.- Track key KPIs (Dealership Product Readiness Score, Virtual Training Attendance, TU Points for Presidents Program,- Reporting (Dealers, Zones and TU)
Other Duties- Attend TMNA training, complete research, develop and create Toyota Canada product training material to deliver to Toyota Dealership Staff- Work with TU and PPD teams to establish a competitive set for specific Toyota vehicle. Create relevant materials that will provide Toyota dealership staff with the knowledge to sell Toyota vehicles vs. the competition.- Develop and provide non-dealer related product training at the request of other TCI Departments.
Work Efficiency- Initiates and implements appropriate 'kaizen' (continuous improvement) efforts which results in work efficiencies relating to cost reduction or avoidance, improved time and process efficiencies- Locks in and measures incremental success through the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)- Standardizes and shares successes across the team or organization through 'yokoten' (shares best practices); continues to improve through kaizen and shares again.- Team Player - ability to build and sustain credibility with dealers, zone staff and TU team members.
What You’ll Bring:
- University Degree or College Diploma in Business Administration/Commerce or another field.- 3 to 5 years automotive auto industry especially, automotive product and/or retail or wholesale sales.- Previous experience in the field of adult training or facilitation.- Presentation and facilitation skills required.- Strong communications skills, both oral and written.- Superior organizational skills including project management (certification not required).-
- Work flexibility - (travel requirements, work schedule, etc.)- Must have the ability to travel within Canada and the USA to deliver and receive product training.- Bilingualism (French/English) is preferred.- Valid Canadian Driver’s License
