Description:
The City of Port Moody is seeking an enthusiastic and customer service oriented individual to provide building maintenance and janitorial services as a regular full-time Building Service Worker.
These positions will perform janitorial and custodial tasks. These positions will also be responsible for minor maintenance and repair work as well as facility setup and take downs in a variety of recreation facilities.
Basic Qualifications:
- Building Service Worker (BSW) Certification
- Grade 12 supplemented with janitorial courses and related experience
- Proficiency in the use of janitorial materials, tools and equipment
- Sound knowledge of routine building maintenance and minor repairs
- Ability to work independently in ongoing areas of responsibility and to perform physical tasks
- Awareness of safe work practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A valid Class 5 Driver’s License and Level 1 First Aid
- Experience within a recreation facility would be an asset
