Our institute, associated with the University of Zurich, is dedicated to basic and translational research in the fields of immunology, allergy and asthma. SIAF participates in the Microbiology and Immunology (MIM) and Systems Biology PhD Programs of the Life Sciences Zurich Graduate School.

We encourage applicants with an experimental background as well as with a computational background to apply.

Role and area of responsibility

• Interdisciplinary work at the intersection of immunology, computational biology and analytical chemistry
• Contribute to the development of MS based high-throughput proteomics technologies
• Generate large and high-dimensional datasets by measuring large patient cohorts (biofluids, tissues) and/or conduct cell-based screens (CRISPR KOs, stimulated cells)
• Collaborate with members of SIAF, UZH and international collaborators
• Develop innovative ideas and lead your own projects

Your profile: MSc in basic sciences, excellent written and oral English, creative and open-minded, hands-on experience in mass spectrometry (e.g. Orbitraps, qTOFs) is a plus, basic experience with R programming/Python is a plus, practical experience in immunological or molecular biology techniques is a plus.
