We want to strengthen the IntelliJ IDEA marketing by adding more people to the team to focus on both product development and marketing outreach.
We are looking for a proactive, passionate, seasoned Marketing Communications Specialist to join our team and develop and implement a marketing communications strategy and drive the related processes, be in close touch with the community, and make a valuable contribution to achieving our goals.
As part of our team, you will:
- Contribute to the IntelliJ IDEA marketing communications strategy with the goal of reaching a wide range of audiences through different channels in order to increase product adoption.
- Define the approach to measuring community-driven results and business impact.
- Identify and monitor the most valuable online events, conferences, and podcasts to join or sponsor to increase product awareness and adoption.
- Maintain the schedule of the most valuable online events, conferences, webinars, and podcasts.
- Prepare public appearances such as exhibitions at trade shows, customer visits, and training sessions.
- Plan, organize, coordinate, and promote JetBrains-hosted virtual events and webinars.
- Prepare marketing materials and demos for conferences.
- Monitor and participate in various local community meetups and events.
- Develop and drive community programs to actively engage JVM user groups in learning and advocating for IntelliJ IDEA within their communities.
- Design and implement communication campaigns and activities focused on non-paid media.
- Plan and organize the publishing of our content on external resources.
- Identify and work with external bloggers, influencers, and partner communities to increase product awareness and extend our reach.
- Network with industry experts to drive brand awareness.
- Proactively find new partners for co-marketing.
- Recognize new marketing opportunities and carry out marketing initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, marketing communications, a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven track record in marketing communications or developer relations in a results-oriented, data-driven environment.
- Ability to structure and solve complex problems.
- Effective project management, marketing management, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent English with good writing skills.
Preferable:
- Experience with preparing events and organizing meetings.
- Presenting as a speaker at conferences or meetings.
- Hands-on programming experience with Java or any other programming language.
- A technical education or a software development background.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for building and adapting product communications in a fast-changing environment on a global scale.
