Description
Reporting to the Senior Data Analyst, and working in conjunction with a small team, the Data Analyst is responsible for supporting the management and maintenance of visualization reports in Microsoft Power BI.
The key accountabilities of the Data Analyst position include:
- Maintaining and updating both ad-hoc and regular reports and visualizations to effectively communicate data driven insights to users for a variety of audiences.
- Ensuring reports are complete, timely, and accurate.
- Collaborating with different groups to extract, clean and manipulate data from multiple systems into reporting objects for analysis.
- Identifying, diagnosing, and solving problems with both data and visualizations.
- Supporting development and execution of strategic analytics & reporting initiatives.
- Documenting and maintaining operational procedures and processes relating to analytical and reporting processes.
- Performing trend and predictive analysis to support decision making capabilities.
- Conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses to assess ongoing performance against objectives.
- Supporting the Senior Data Analyst in the development of reporting solutions by both improving the quality of existing reporting as well as designing and developing new reports.
- Working independently on a range of complex tasks.
- Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience in business analytics, reporting, data management, or other related experience in reporting and analytics.
- Post-secondary degree in a related field of study such as computer science, information systems or mathematics.
- Experience working with data visualization tools, primarily Microsoft Power BI, to build interactive reports and complex dashboards for different target audiences.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to manipulate data and formulas.
- Ability to manage own workload effectively in order to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills and proven ability to problem solve.

Salary: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
