Data Analyst

Reporting to the Senior Data Analyst, and working in conjunction with a small team, the Data Analyst is responsible for supporting the management and maintenance of visualization reports in Microsoft Power BI.

The key accountabilities of the Data Analyst position include:

  • Maintaining and updating both ad-hoc and regular reports and visualizations to effectively communicate data driven insights to users for a variety of audiences.
  • Ensuring reports are complete, timely, and accurate.
  • Collaborating with different groups to extract, clean and manipulate data from multiple systems into reporting objects for analysis.
  • Identifying, diagnosing, and solving problems with both data and visualizations.
  • Supporting development and execution of strategic analytics & reporting initiatives.
  • Documenting and maintaining operational procedures and processes relating to analytical and reporting processes.
  • Performing trend and predictive analysis to support decision making capabilities.
  • Conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses to assess ongoing performance against objectives.
  • Supporting the Senior Data Analyst in the development of reporting solutions by both improving the quality of existing reporting as well as designing and developing new reports.
  • Working independently on a range of complex tasks.
  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience in business analytics, reporting, data management, or other related experience in reporting and analytics.
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field of study such as computer science, information systems or mathematics.
  • Experience working with data visualization tools, primarily Microsoft Power BI, to build interactive reports and complex dashboards for different target audiences.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to manipulate data and formulas.
  • Ability to manage own workload effectively in order to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills and proven ability to problem solve.

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Salary: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
