JOB SUMMARY
Scrum Masters are servant-leaders and coaches to Agile scrum team, helping everyone understand Scrum theory, practices, rules, and values. Release/Solution Train Engineers are servant-leaders and coaches to teams of Agile scrum teams (aka Agile Release Trains or ARTs), and are responsible for facilitating the ART events and processes and assisting the teams in delivering value.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coaches teams in Scrum and Lean-Agile practices and mindsets
- Facilitates Scrum/Release Train events
- Manages and track the flow of value through the team(s)
- Removes and track impediments blocking delivery of commitments
- Manages risks and dependencies
- Works with Solutions Managers and Product Owners to ensure the backlog is arranged to maximize value delivery
- Works with Solutions Managers and Product Owners to ensure that goals, scope, and product domain are understood by everyone on the Scrum Team or Release Train
- Works with team(s) to define Sprint or PI Objectives and publish them for visibility and transparency
- Drives relentless improvement through Retrospectives and/or Inspect and Adapt workshops
- Coaches leaders and teams in Scrum and Lean-Agile practices and mindsets
- Causes change that increases the productivity of the Scrum Team
