Experience in structural engineer’s drawings, specifically reinforced concrete and bending schedules will be an advantage
Summary of essential job functions
- Liaise with engineer to gather product and structural requirements and designs
- Calculate dimensions, weight limitations and requirements in materials
- Create detailed designs with computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Liaise closely with production team and identify potential operational issues and redesign products to improve functionality
- Ensure final designs comply with customers’ requirements.
Requirements and skills
- Proven work experience as a Drafts person in structural engineering or similar role
- Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Familiarity with 3D modeling tools (not essential)
- Good math skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Diploma from a technical college or equivalent qualification, or suitably experienced.
