Description
Diagnose, analyze and interpret geological data whilst implementing and improving geological systems and conducting underground mapping.
- Guide and support underground activities for the achievement of production targets through safety measures.
- People management (Ensure successful teamwork and supervision of Geology resources)
- Ensure compliance with the organization and legislative standards and procedures
- Identify opportunities to optimize operations and participate in improvement projects
- Conduct Geology activities (underground drilling, development mapping, stope observations, borehole core logging and off-reef mining and dilutions)
- NQF 8 (BSc Honours Degree) qualification in Geology
- Chamber of Mines Elementary Sampling certificate will be advantageous
- Minimum of 12 months post qualification experience as a geologist or Graduate Geologist in a mining or mining projects environment
- GSSA membership and SACNASP registration
- 3D modeling experience will be advantageous.
- Ability to communicate with people on different levels
- No criminal record
- Valid Driver’s license and own transport
- Valid Certificate of physical fitness
