The position of Advance Purchasing is located within the purchasing unit and plays a key contribution to the overall success of the company. The main tasks of positions are:
Job description:
- Provide cost estimates to sales department of Bill of Materials for new acquisitions.
- Define and execute strategy on every new awarded business to achieve established targets.
- Involvement of suppliers at the design stage. Follow-up on supplier and material status.
- Drives and controls the change management process for components towards the suppliers, Category Management and Supplier Quality.
- Analyze future material needs of Business Units and be responsible for technical changes until Start of Production.
- Responsible to control the sourcing process for pre-selection of supplier. Requests for quotation. Meetings.
- Ensures availability of NDA with each involved suppliers.
- To recommend components derivatives and component or production process innovations to the project team and other interface partners.
- Effectively cooperate with CAT purchasing, following given sourcing and suppliers strategies."
Job requirements:
University degree in Engineering or relevant professional experience
2-3 years of experience in purchasing functions or 2-3 years of project experience
Capability to operate with different cultures
Experience in working with international teams on purchasing issues
Understanding for different foreign cultures
Excellent communication skills in English.
